Sometimes an artist's work is just too good for words. Good thing I can show you pictures! Mauro is the first artist that I completely trusted. I would send him a doll and let his artistic instinct tell him what to do with it. I am never disappointed--Mauro always brings out the best in a doll!
The dolls on this page are from my personal collection and are not for sale. They are here for enjoyment and sharing only.

| This is the doll that taught me to
appreciate vintage. I never cared for Swirl Ponytails until I won this
gorgeous creature at a raffle at a Fashion-L gathering. Now I can't get
enough Swirl PTs! |
The original Midge is my favorite
Barbie-family member. I love her homely goofiness, but Mauro shows that
Midge can have just as much va-va-voom! as the Blonde Bombshell herself!
This is made from a '70s PJ face on a '90s reproduction body. Hair, face,
and reproduction swimsuit all by Mauro. |

| Once upon a time, this was a Quick Curl Barbie from my childhood. I had loved her very much... so much that her hair had fallen out and her facepaint was almost gone! Thanks to Mauro, she's more beautiful than ever. | Though you cannot tell from these pictures, her hair isn't a true titian color. It has a gorgeous light plum or raspberry tone, just a hint of purple to the red that makes her my raspberry flip. |
